在中国古代短篇小说中,反映女性生活命运的作品占了相当的比重。从唐传奇、《三言》到《聊斋志异》,这些优秀的短篇小说一方面在描写女性形象方面表现了某些共同主题,另一方面也因时代环境的差异而各具面貌与特色。小说中一系列颇具代表性的女性形象是封建社会广大女性境遇的缩影,既具文学欣赏意义,又有着深刻的现实意义。

In ancient short stories of China,t he works reflecting the fate of women hold a great pro-portion.These excellent short stories show some certain subjects in the description of the images of women on the hand,and on the other han d,they also have distinguishing fea tures because of the differences of environment of times,from the Legend of Tang Dynasty to th e other works,such as Three Common Sayings and Stories About Ghost.A series of typical images o f women in these stories are the epitomes of women's circumstances in feudal society,having both the appreciative and pro-found significance in literature an d in reality as well.
