Mao Ze-dong is a great politician, an outstanding poet and a calligraphist.He thinks much of the cultural work of reviving Chinese nation, and forms the intact culture notion of new democratism and socialism. In his socialist notion, the thoughts of serving the politics and economy of the proletarian, of letting a hundred flowers bloom and a hundred schools of thought contend, weeding through the old to bring forth the new and of seeking for truth and being formal are the body and the most outstanding part of his notion of socialist culture and they must be important today and in the future.
