On the Work of Reference-Book Reading Room

通过阐述工具书的内涵,说明工具书的作用。针对一些工具书阅览室目前存在的问题,说明图书馆各部门应加强统一协调,以便发挥各部门的职能作用。并指出了读者服务工作的发展取向。

In the paper the connotation of reference book is described and its function is expounded. Facing the problems existing in reference-book reading room, the author points out that the unity and coordination of different parts of a library should be strengthened and thus the function of every department can be brought into full play. Furtherrnore the orientation of service to readers is also directed.
