As the proverb goes, 'Better to teach someone how to fish than to give him fish. ' In the past two decades, the calligraphy models for various teachers colleges and universities as well as those for the masses have only attached great importance to the analysis of forms of model characters, putting undue emphasis on the final visual effect, while leaving the key factor-distribution of visual attention, untouched-upon. This thesis, therefore, is an attempt to solve the above-mentioned pressing problem. Taking the reality of teachers collages and universities as a starting point in consideration, based on the emphasis on the composition of strokes, it discusses how to lead students to have proper control of their visual attention from two aspects, model-reading and writing.
