摘要
在中国,爱尔兰作家贝克特是以荒诞派戏剧代表作家而闻名的,对于其荒诞派小说,人们却知之甚少。事实上,他在小说方面也取得了突出成就。其长篇三部曲《莫洛依》、《马龙之死》、《无名的人》的创作特征在于创造“无字文学”,语言往往含混、自我否定、无逻辑性、缺乏实指义;而其小说情节呈现出扩散与消解的趋势。因此,可以认为贝克特是传统小说语言与情节的掘墓人。
Samuel Beckett is known in China as an absurdist playwright, but few people have read his absurd novels. This paper discuses some characteristics of his famous trilogy: ambiguity of language, vagueness of time and setting and characters, illogicality and lack of plot.
