This paper introduces the specific practices of reading and promoting the ' six entering activities' in the Jinsha County Library of Bijie City,namely,entering institutions,families,campuses,communities,villages,and enterprises. It is important to give full play to the basic facilities of the rural-bookrooms,seize the focus and keys of the countryside,innovate the form of reading promotion activities,and create a strong reading atmosphere for the whole people in the nationwide reading promotion work of basic-level public libraries.
