Present Status of Textile Protection Restoration and Research

文物是一定历史时期的产物,人类社会在悠久的历史发展中创造了光辉灿烂的物质文明和精神文明,遗留下无数的文物瑰宝。这些实物性资料是人类文明信息的一种储存形式,包含着特定历史时期的政治、经济、军事、科学技术、工艺美术等各种信息,对于我们今天所进行的科学研究和生产活动都是极有价值的资料。为了更好地保存这些文物,开发和利用其中蕴藏着的信息资源,首先必须保护好作为以物质形态形式存在的各种文化遗存’使其能长久地为人类文明的发展服务。

Historical relic is the product of a certain historical period. Human society created brilliant material and spiritual civilization, and left numerous cultural treasures in the history of the development. Containing information of politics, economic, military, science and technology, arts and crafts and so on from a specific historical period, historical relic is a storage form of human civilization information. It is extremely valuable for our scientifi c research and production activities. In order to preserve the heritage better and develop and utilize the information resources they bear, our fi rst priority is to protect the various cultural relics, which is existing in the physical form, to make them serve for the development of human civilization as long as possible.
