Clarke porcelain is a well-known variety of export porcelain in China,which gorgeous style and exquisite decoration make the porcelain popular in Europe.In the long process of development,blue-and-white porcelain painting technique entered a mature state in the late Ming Dynasty through the exploration of different characteristics of celadonglaze materials and the improvement of painting techniques.The basic feature of this technique is the combination of accurate delineation and multi-level colouring.This is not only the improvement of the painting techniques of blue-andwhite porcelain,but also an important factor in the formation of the style of Clark porcelain in this period.In addition,it also laid a foundation for the further development of the painting techniques of blue-and-white porcelain in the late Ming Dynasty and early Qing Dynasty.
