A Preliminary Study on Chinese Porcelain Trade in New York

纽约进口中国陶瓷商品是在中外陶瓷贸易出现衰退而中美直航贸易兴起的背景下产生的。早期的中美陶瓷贸易主要在中国的广州口岸与美国的东部各大港口之间展开,纽约是其中销售中国陶瓷最重要的城市。本文通过梳理纽约进口中国陶瓷的数量、陶瓷种类与器型、贸易方式以及时代等内容,探讨纽约在早期中美陶瓷贸易中所扮演的角色和作用,以从侧面反映早期中美陶瓷贸易的面貌,为中外陶瓷贸易史研究提供思路与参考。

The early New York Porcelain trade in China was produced in the background of the decline of Chinese and foreign trade in porcelain and the rise of Sino-American trade.The early Sino-American porcelain trade is mainly reflected between the Guangzhou port in China and the eastern ports of the United States.New York is the most important city in selling Chinese ceramics.In this paper,by means of quantity,combing New York’s porcelain trade type and trade means and dates etc.to explore the role and function of New York in the early Sino-American ceramic trade,to reflect the early Sino-American ceramic trade from the side,to provide ideas and reference for the study of the history of China and foreign porcelain trade.
