人脸识别是目前生物识别的热门研究领域 ,具有广泛的应用前景。人脸具有唯一性 ,相对稳定 ,所以机器自动识别人脸是可行的。

Face recognition has become one of the most active areas of research in biometrics with numerous commercial and law enforcement applications. Human faces are steady in one's life and distinguished for each person, automatically identifying people by their faces is valid for machines. We propose a method that extracts facial features and classifies faces using wavelet analysis. The feasibility of our approach has been proved by experiments on ORL and Yale face databases.
