Research progress of Notch 4 signaling pathway in the incidence and development of breast cancer

Notch 4信号通路在乳腺癌的发生发展中发挥着重要作用,Notch 4在正常乳腺组织中的表达很少,而在乳腺癌组织中有较高水平的表达,其中Notch 4在三阴性乳腺癌中表达最高。同时,乳腺癌患者Notch 4表达增高者预后往往较差,可能与内分泌治疗抵抗及其在干细胞中发挥的重要作用有关。本文综述Notch 4信号通路在乳腺癌发生发展中的研究进展。

Notch 4 signaling pathway plays an important role on the incidence and development of breast cancer. Notch 4 has little expression in normal mammary tissues, but it makes higher expression in breast cancer, especially in the triple negative breast cancer. The poor prognosis of breast cancer patients are usually related with Notch 4 high expression, which may be associated with the treatment resistance of internal secretion and its important effects on stem cells. This review describes the progress in the study of Notch 4 signaling pathway in breast cancer incidence and development.
