摘要
星座文化在青年人当中的流行,究竟是属于"意义建构"还是"符号消费"?研究发现,这二者是重构的,都是时空脱域、信息高速流动的后工业社会的产物。个体通过消费的方式来实现意义体系构建的实践,星座话语提供符号,而消费的过程则提供建构的途径,二者共同完成了现代社会个体从身份标签到意义系统的自我建构。
Astrology is popular among the contemporary youth.Does it belong to meaning construction or symbol consumption?The study finds that the individual’s meaning construction and symbol consumption are both reconstructed as the product of a post-industrial society that is characterized by the separation of time and space and the rapid flow of information.The construction of meaning system is realized through the individual’s consumption activity,in which astrology discourse provides symbols and consumption process provides the means to construct.Ultimately,the self construction of the modern social individual from the identity label to the meaning system is jointly completed by both meaning construction and symbol consumption.
