Research on the Development of Higher Education in Guangxi under the Background of the Belt and Road Initiative

"一带一路"倡议下,广西高等教育国际合作交流平台不断完善,双向留学不断发展,民心相通得以促进。新时期广西高等教育仍面临高层次人才培养能力亟待提升、辐射能力有待增强、高校交互吸引力有待提升等新挑战。广西高等教育发展应秉持增强高校建设发展的扶持力度、积极开展教师外派进修项目、统筹推进广西高校"双一流"建设以及推动区域研究发展的新思路。

Under the background of the Belt and Road Initiative,higher education in Guangxi has been continuously improved with a larger platform of international cooperation and exchange,as well as better mechanisms of two-way student exchanges,greatly promoting the people-to-people connectivity.However,there are still new challenges for higher education in Guangxi to meet,such as the enhancing the ability of high-level personnel training,expanding the region and fields of cooperation and improving mutual attraction among universities.The development of higher education in Guangxi demands a new way of thinking to strengthen the support for the construction of colleges and universities,actively carry out projects of teachers’ advanced study abroad,comprehensively implement the ' Double First-Class' Initiative in colleges and universities in Guangxi,and promote the development of regional researches.
