Research on Hakka's Witchcraft

巫术是原始人类对物质世界和精神世界的一种认识途径和控制方式。巫术文化作为人类认识文化进程的重要阶段,对后世文化产生过巨大而深远的影响,因而成为民族文化和民俗形态的母源。客家人作为河洛文化的传人,楚越故地的"客人",其巫术文化吸收了中原礼仪文化和南方楚巫文化的营养,并加以改造,形成了独特的客家巫术文化,并对客家人的世界观、价值观产生了深远的影响。

Witchcraft is a way for primitive man to know and control the material world and the spiritual world. Withchcraft culture is an important stage in the process of human being's cognition of culture, which also inflnenced the following generations'culture deeply. So witchcraft culture became the origin of ethnic culture and ethnic custom. As the descendant of Helou culture and immigrants to the ancient Chuyue district,the Hakkas have absorbed and reformed the quintessence of Central China's etiquette culture and the regional culture of ancient Chuyue for their witchcraft culture, which leads to the formation of the characteristic culture of Hakka's witchcraft. The witchcraft culture has also influenced the world outlook and value outlook of Hakka deeply.
