The Influence of China's Entry WTO on the Work for Nationalities Affairs and the Countermeasures

加入WTO为我国民族工作带来新的历史机遇,同时也带来了挑战。因此,各级党委、政府必须高度重视入世后的民族工作,抓住入世机遇,加快民族地区发展,以立法形式保护民族地区权益,努力培养适应WTO需要的少数民族干部队伍,正确处理入世后涉及民族方面两类不同性质的矛盾,维护民族团结。

China's entry into WTO is an opportunity as well as a challenge to our work for nationalities affairs. Party committees and governments at all levels should attach great importance to the work for nationalities affairs, seize the opportunity of China's entry WTO, quicken the development of minority nationality areas, protect their rights and interests by means of legislation, cultivate the cadres of minority nationalities, settle the contradictions of two different natures related to nationalities affairs after China's entry into WTO, and maintain unity of nationalities.
