LuXun and Chekhov were both masterhands in describing characters in lower social position. They were both good at using a simple writing style to depict the inner world of the characters in lower social position in a cool and objective way, so their works are of great depth of thought. LuXun brought forth new ideas oraginally on the base of Chekhov, therefore his works have a greater force of shock both in selfthought and in depiction of the countrymen' s nature.
