Yang- Ming Scholars and Buddhism in Guizhou

王阳明正德三年"龙场悟道"后,便在贵州开始传播心学思想,教化当地百姓。在此之后的几十年中,阳明学在贵州产生了深远的影响,不但涌现出大量学宗阳明的贵州籍学者,而且阳明学者与贵州佛教交往密切,也成为贵州佛教史上的重要内容。

In 1508,the 3rd year after Wu- Zong was crowned Emperor of Ming Dynasty,Wang Yang- ming,after gaining epiphany at Long- Chang,a remote,harsh town in Guizhou,began to spread the idea of innate knowing and enlighten the locals in Guizhou. During the next several decades,Yang- Ming Philosophy brought profound influence in Guizhou,where emerged a lot of scholars who followed Yang- Ming Philosophy,and due to their close contact with Buddhism in Guizhou,produced great impact on the development of Buddhism in Guizhou.
