On the Phonetic Ambiguity of American Situation Comedy——Taking Good Luck Charlie as an Example

歧义是语言普遍存在的一种语言现象,而语音歧义则是歧义中一个重要的种类。言语交际缺乏书面文字的视觉辅助和语境信息的制约,从而使得原本在语法上没有歧义的句子很有可能由于某种语音问题而产生多种理解,引起了歧义的产生。美式情景喜剧《查莉成长日记》中普遍存在的几种语音歧义的类型,有助于中国观众对美式幽默和美国文化的进一步理解。

Ambiguity is a common kind of language phenomena and phonetic ambiguity is an main kind of ambiguity.Owing to the lack of visual aids of written words and the restrain of context,speech communication may make the sentence without ambiguity in grammar generate several understandings in terms of some phonetic problems,which leads to the phonetic ambiguity. This paper,taking the American situation comedy Good Luck Charlie as an example,analyzes the common types of phonetic ambiguity of this comedy and their effects.
