以湘西团结多民族社区为例,从制度、语言、社交习俗、社会结构、族际通婚等层面的互动探讨当地民族关系状况,认为随着各民族接触交流的增加,民族之间的差异性会渐渐缩小,共同性会日益增多。历史上"互为他者"的民族关系处境也逐渐被现代"多元一体"的区域性民族关系格局所取代,民族的地域认同与国家认同也将得到进一步的提升。
