Ping Jie is an influential novel written by Shousheng. With its vivid figures and multiple artistic methods,it reveals the dependent life relationship of Guizhou peasants in the feudal society in1930’s,in which they were exploited severely. It also depicts the living circumstance of Guizhou peasants at that time,which has a certain literary and historical value.
