The Application of Streaming Media Technology in Distance Education

随着Internet的发展 ,多媒体信息在网上的传输越来越重要 ,流式技术以其边下载边播放的特性深受教育、娱乐等行业的喜爱 ,主要介绍了流媒体技术的概念、基本原理和播放方式 ,并在此基础上介绍了它在远程教学中的应用。

With the development of Internet, multimedia information transmission becomes more and more important. The streaming media technique, with a characteristic of playing while downloading, causes great interest in education and entertainment. In this paper , the basic conception, principle and playing mode of the streaming media technique are described. Furthermore, some applications are given on distance education that adopted this new technique.
