北方化石和岩石标本库项目进展

Progress of the Project on Northern Fossil and Rock Storehouse

“北方化石和岩石标本库”是科技基础性工作专项项目。通过本项目的实施,已摸索出一套包括标本收集、馆藏、数字化归档和系统管理模式的初步经验,建立了规范的“北方化石和岩石标本数据库”,提高了现有标本及其数据资源的利用率,同时为今后新增标本的科学管理打下良好的基础。一期建设已建立了标本实物库和数据库,并提供了与之相应的仪器和设备,完成了中心网站的设计(网址为www.ndcpp.org),可买现资源共享;完成了包括有孔虫、介形虫、放射虫、微体藻类、孢粉等微体化石,珊瑚、腕足、三叶虫等无脊椎动物大化石,大植物化石和遗迹化石等类别的1053个新种的模式标本的收集,建立了2000 个化石模式种的包括中文描述及相关图片资料的化石模式标本数据库;完成收集了包括青藏高原、高压超高压带及东部的典型火成岩、金伯利岩、北方陆块下地壳岩石和中国宝玉石标本在内的5100块岩矿标本,建立了这些岩石标本相关资料的岩石标本数据库。项目的建设目标是:建成一个现代化、国际化、开放型的“北方化石和岩石数据中心”,使其具有收集储存功能、检索查询功能、上网服务功能和数据发布功能,为国内外同行专家服务。

The 'Northern Fossil and Rock Storehouse' is a special project of the Ministry of Science and Technology. Through the implementation of the project, a set of basic guidlines in sample collecting, sample storing, digital filing, and systematic managing has been established, and a standardized database of the northern fossil and rock storehouse has been developed. This greatly expands the utilization ratio for the available samples and their related information, and hence set a solid foundation for the management of additional sample collection in the future. The first stage of the project has established a sample storehouse and a database with necessary apparatus and equipments .
