和则相生 同则不继——杭州玉泉景点整修扩建工程方案设计

Harmonious to Completeness,while Same to Decay"——the Design of "Watching Fish at Jade Spring" Restora-tion and Expanding Project in Hangzhou

针对杭州“玉泉观鱼”景点整修和扩建具体内容的不同,设计分别确立了“修旧如旧”和“和而不同”这两个原则以区别对待。使得新老两园既相联系又相区别,彼此间相辅相成,各自从不同侧面完成对原有主题的表达———“鱼、水、天、人的自在共乐”。其中,北园强调已有的“整形建筑围合空间内‘鱼+水+人’的静态的定势交流”,南园则强调“自然山水开放空间中‘水+鱼+人’的动态的即兴的游戏”。

The 'Watching fish at Jade Spring 'is a hoary scenic spot in Hangzhou, which is famous for 'pure spring and quiet landscape', especially for its fish seeing. We decided two principles in the project-'Restore as Before' used at the part of restoration; and the next idea made the old part and the new one opposed each other but also complemented each other, and represented the inhering theme from different sides. The old part emphasized the existent fixed communications among fish, water, and people in the space surrounded by square architecture. While the new part emphasized the dynamic improvisational play between water, fish, and people in the open space of natural green hills and clear waters.
