对草珊瑚进行毒理研究，结果表明，小鼠经口ＬＤ５０测定属无毒范围，小鼠精子畸形试验、小鼠骨髓细胞微核试验、Ａｍｅｓ试验均为阴性，未发现致突变性。

he acute toxicity and mutagenicity effect of Sarcandra glabra were studied in order to providing toxicology evidences for the dietary safety of sarcandra glabra.The detection met hods of mutagenicity were Micronucleus test of PCE in mouse,Sperm shape abnormality test in mouse and Ames test.The results showed its oral LD50 for mouse was within the limit of nonpoisonous.All mutagenic tests were negative.
