摘要
习语是人民群众生活实践的产物 ,与人类的社会、文化生活有密切的关系 ,具有浓厚的民族文化特色。从英语习语来源的角度探讨其民族文化特征 。
Idiom is the Long-lasting practical production of human being, reflecting its cultural heritage. English idioms, the gems of the language, are heavily loaded with the cultural connotation. This paper is to explore the close connections between the English idioms' origins and their cultural feature in an attempt to have a better understanding of them.
