On ZUO Zong-tang and LIU Jin-tang's Nationality Policy in Xinjiang

左宗棠、刘锦棠在收复新疆的过程中及收复新疆后 ,实施了一系列积极而又成功的民族政策 ,不仅有利于西征军歼灭侵略者 ,收复新疆 ,而且也利于战后新疆各族人民恢复生产、发展经济、改善生活 ,同时也有利于新疆社会秩序的稳定和新疆社会的进步 。

A series of active and successful favorable nationality policies that ZUO Zong-tang and LIU Jin-tang implemented during and after the period of Xinjiang recovery, were not only for the Oriented Expedition Army defeating the aggressors to recover Xinjiang, but also for people of all Xinjiang nationalities to resume production,develop econony, better lives, and meanwhile were faverable for the stability of Xinjiang social order, the progress of Xinjiang society, the nationalities unity of China.
