Fictitiousness and Authenticity of Modern Verse

现代诗通常是一种“伪陈述” ,即它所描述的不一定是现实中所发生的真实的生活事件或客观存在过的事象 ,而多半是诗人凭空从心灵里构造出来的事件 ,是诗人的内心呈现出来的事象 ,诗歌陈述这些心造的事象与事件不是它的目的 ,目的是用这些去对应另一种被忽略的真正的且是严重的事实以引起对它的正视。现代诗创造的是心灵的幻象 ,本质上是虚拟的 ,但它揭示的却是现代人生存或存在的本质 。

Modern verse is usually a kind of 'pseudo narration',i.e.what is stated in it is not real but just something imagined by the poet, or a reflection of psychic events in the poet's heart. The purpose of modern verse is, instead of relating such psychic events, to draw attention to the true yet ignored facts by matching them with the psychic events. What is created in modern verse is the phantasm of the heart and is fictitious; however, what it reveals is the very nature of modern life or existence. Thus the events pictured in modern verse are much more authentic than what has really happened or occurred.
