谷氨酸转运蛋白与神经系统疾病 被引量:5

摘要 脑组织具有明显收集谷氨酸的能力,而转运蛋白是使谷氨酸从细胞外液有效地被转走的唯一功能单位,也是长期维持谷氨酸在细胞外低浓度和无毒性的重要因素。谷氨酸转运蛋白在调节神经传导方面似乎也有着较复杂的功能,它们调节突触间的时程,突触外间隙与邻近突触之间受体激活和失活的程度及方式,同时也为γ-氨基丁酸,谷胱甘肽和蛋白质的合成及能量的产生提供谷氨酸。像谷氨酸一样,谷氨酸转运蛋白与谷氨酸有关的突触的正常功能的维持和某些神经系统疾病(如脑缺血,肌萎缩性侧索硬化,阿尔茨海默病,创伤性脑损伤及癫痫等)相关。
