Implementation and Performance Analysis for Adaptive Block Size Image Compression

摘要 自适应图像分块压缩算法是一种根据区域特征自动调整DCT变换尺寸提高编码效率的图像编码方法,该文提出了这种算法的快速实现方法,分析了这种编码方法的算法复杂度和编码效率,并用标准图像进行了测试。 Adaptive blocking image compression is an image coding technique,in which the block size will be adjusted automatically due to the different region properties in image.This paper puts forward a fast implementation method,and then the performance analysis of this method is provided,including its complexity and coding efficiency.Simulation re-sults applying to test image are also presented.
