摘要
本文在活断层研究和地震宏观调查的基础上,从现代地壳运动特征及活动断层几何学,运动特征等方面研究了1932年麻城Ms6.0级地震的蕴育环境条件,为预测该区强震的地点和强度提供依据。
Based on the active fault study and seismic macroexamination, in this paper, the seismogenic environment condition of the Machen earthquake are discussed by the recent crustal movement and fault activity. The essential conclusions are that (1) This eaethquake is located at the region which is under a joint action of the compression stress in near east-west direction and the tension stresses restated from the uplift of upper mantle, and (2)The Machen-Tuanfeng fault is roughly divided into two segments. The south and central segment are throughout the basement layer or the upper mantle. The north segment, however, not forms the major fault, so that a lock fault part where the strain energy can accumulate and release concentricaly is formed. This is why the Maehen earthquake occurred here in 1932.
