Traditionally D.H.Lawrence's Sons and Lovers has been studied in the light of Freudian Theory, this is not full-sided. The paper tries to provide another point of view from the history of the English industrialization to probe the marital fission and the morbid growth of the characters in this novel, pointing out that their misery is the criticism of the capitalism in essence, and their tragedies are also the tragedies of the English society. 
