摘要
改造后的南通地震台短水准测量,从1988年12月起,跨NWW向断层的测段NS_1的高差出现了明显的鼓包型垂直形变。经过排除干扰及数据处理后得出:该测段的形变为地壳形变,在形变回到基值后发生了常熟1990年2月10目的5.1级地震。该形变的时间、形态与对应的震级与本地区以往数次中强地震的震例相符,因此确定它是常熟地震的形变前兆。
Since December 1988, after the short-range level measurement at Namong seismographic station improved, there appeared clear bulge-type vertical deformation in the height difference of NS1 segment across the NWW fault. After removal of the interference and data processing, it is shown that the deformation in the NS1 segment is crustal deformation. As the deformation returned to the bacic value, there occurred Changshu M5.1 earthquake on February 10,1990. The causative time, shape and magnitude is consistent with those moderately strong earthquakes occurred in this area in the past, so it is determined as the deformation precursor of Changshu earthquake.
