This paper discusses the determination of the minimum height of welded beam by the stiffness of the beam. The authors find out that the method of deciding the height, which is described in the current textbooks and manuals, is unreasonable. They suggest a correction and put forward a new computation method, more reasonable than the old one, for reference of the professionals.
