明清北京古城城市设计特色探讨

On the Characteristics of Beijing Urban Design in Ming and Qing Dynasties

从城市设计的范围、过程以及象征性和轴线的运用等4个方面,初步探讨了明清北京古城城市设计的特色,对北京今后的城市建设不仅具有理论价值,更具有现实意义.

Urban construction of Beijing is always facing two challenges. The one is the preservation of old city; the other is its renewal. Therefore, it is of either theoretical value or practical significance to make clear the urban design characteristics of Beijing old city in Ming and Qing dynasties for its future urban construction. This paper, from the four aspects of the range, process, symbolic and axis location of urban design, explores the characteristics of Beijing urban design in Ming and Qing dynasties.
