TUNABLE-WAVELENGTH SEMICONDUCTOR LASER USING A FIBER BRAGG GRATING

摘要 本文利用光纤光栅 (FBG)形成外腔反馈及F P半导体激光器的多模特性 ,得到波长稳定、可调谐的半导体激光光源 ,系统研究了不同反馈比率对激光器光谱特性的影响 通过向FBG施加轴向拉力和压力可实现 1 0nm的波长调谐 ,得到一系列波长间隔 0 94nm的激光输出 ,边模抑制比达 35dB ,光谱线宽小于 0 2nm . Tunable wavelength lasers are generated by using a laser diode (LD) with a fiber Bragggrating (FBG).The spectral characteristics of different feedback rates have been investigated.Wavelength tuning has been realized by applying compressive and tensile strain to the fiber grating and a tuning range of 10nm has been obtained.The serial of single mode lasers with wavelength spacing 0.94nm has <0.2nm spectral line width and about 35dB side mode suppression ratio.Both the wavelength and power of lasers are stable.
