This paper discusses the changes of art and design education of China, social transformation and development,curriculum,education system of art and design in the twentieth century,especially in the latest twenty years and the problems in the system of market economy, such as the businese attribute of art and design, adaptability of the education mode that value solid basis and obscure the bounds of different specialities, the changes of the teaching administration mode of art and design, probing into and looking forward into the distance of art and design in the new centure.
