论形象的间接性

On the Indirctness of Images

形象的间接性是文学形象区别于其他艺术形象的突出特点,"形象"与"间接"本是一对矛盾,但在文学形象里却是和谐统一的。本文认为,这一矛盾得以统一的原因有三个:一是文学语言内涵的丰富性;二是语言本身的文化积淀;三是读者的阅读习惯。

The indirectness of image is a characteristic which makes literature images differ from other artistic images. 'Images' and 'indirectness' is contradict but they are united and harmonious in literature images.The author thinks there are three reasons for the unity of this contradiction:the first is the richness of literature language connotation;the second is the cultural sediment of language itself and the third is the reading habits of the readers.
