许思园先生以浮士德精神称论李白 ,认为其天才至上的思想、抛弃和超越的热情以及独步千载的影响力 ,与西方浮士德精神相通。但李白更是传统的、中国的 ,其对生命和谐的追求、功成身退的人生理念、融注在酒与月意象中的诗情 ,都是传统文化的体现 ,在李白身上有异质的因素 ,但总体上讲李白是传统文化渊源上的个性扩张。
