意境是我国古典文论独创的一个概念。意境是一种文学形象,广泛应用于诗歌、散文、绘画、园林等一切文学作品中,是中国古代作家艺术家所共同追求的审美目标,独具中国民族特色。意境的形成是一个多层次,多方位的系统工程,即以情与景为基础,由创作者和欣赏者通过观察、体验、联想、想象所共同创造的一种艺术形象。研究意境的形成,对意境的创造和欣赏具有一定实用价值。

Artistic conception is a originally creative conception in Chinese classical literature theory. Its a kind of art image presented in all kinds of art forms:poem,painting,prose and so on.Its the aesthetic aim Chinese classical artists want to attain.The formation of artistic conception is a multi-gradational and multi-positional systematic project.Its a kind of art image created, basing on emotion and scenery,by the creaters and the appreciators through observation,experience,association of and imagination.The study of artistic conception has definitly practical value in the creation and appreciation of art conception.
