The sources of the name of 'Nine Songs'can date back to far ancient times . It had many well-known names ,such as Central Plains Nine Songs ,Mythological Nine songs,Folk Nine Songs and Chu-ci Poems Nine Songs . By analysing the existing literature materials . the article exerts every effort to explore into the sources of the name of Nine Songs and to find out its inheritance relation with preceding ages .
