The double ring and non bonding pre stress tendon technique is the art of state technology in tunnel construction in the world. It successfully tackles the contradiction of densely distributed tunnels with thin overburden and requirement of high head on tunnel bearing capacity, minimizes the excavated tunnel diameter, reduces the field reinforcement and concrete volume placed for tunnel lining and thus the costs. The paper presents the methods adopted for the relevant procedures of the tunnel's non bonding pre stressed concrete construction.
