Memorization on Ocular Perception' in the artistic modelling of Chinese painting is a special method to observe and recognize nature objectively. Its role in teaching Chinese painting cannot be underestimated. Students are consciously trained by means of sketching as well as sketching by heart to achieve a deep knowledge and insight of the distinguished tradition of Chinese painting,so as to enhance Chinese painting art while absorbing some basic skills in westen painting.
