Study on Ye Tianshi's Stomach-Yin Theory

叶天士的脾胃分治及胃宜降则和为胃阴学说的理论依据,以甘平或甘凉濡润之剂为胃阴虚证的治疗特色。并介绍胃阴不足兼脾虚、湿滞,以及肺胃阴虚、肝胃阴虚的证治之法。

Ye Tianshi declared that the spleen and stomach should be treated separately and the stomach should be regulated downwards, which are the base for stomach-yin theory; and stomach-yin deficiency had better be treated with sweat or sweat-cool medicines. This paper also presents the treatment methods of stomach-yin insufficiency intermingled with spleen-hypofunction and dampness retention, as well as lung-stomach yin-deficiency syndrome,and liver-stomach yin-deficiency syndrome.
