In this paper,the internal and enternal factors that impact the detection probaba- lity of the over-the-horizon backscatter(OTH-B)radars:the method that Calcates the detection probabaility is presented.The example is considered it to detect the enviroment of the south sea of china,and give the efficent detection covered area of the radars,the maximum covered area,and the optimum covered areao under the ef-ficent detection,the required S/N ratio is obtained.
