试论翻译与翻译中的情感输入

A Tentative Discussion on Translation and Emotional Input in the Course of Translation

文学作品中译者的情感输入是必要的,要避免太具主观色彩的情感输入以防造成"讹"传之作;科技翻译要避免涉及个人情感,力求客观理性。译者要根据不同读者的阅读目的及接受能力,合理处理翻译中的情感输入,译者情感的输入,无论多少,都应是原作者所给予他的忠实的情感反应,而不是凭主观想象发挥出来的情感。

Emotional input on the part of the literary translator is necessary, but too much subjective emotional input may result in 'mistranslation'. In scientific and technological translation, however, intervention of personal feelings ought to be evaded to pursue objective rationality. Therefore, the translator should deal properly with emotional input in translation in accordance with different purposes and acceptabilities of different readers. Emotional input, however much involved in translation, should be a transfer of the author's faithful emotional response to his work but not an addition of the translator's emotion stimulated by his subjective imagination to his translation.
