This thesis tries to study the relationship between Wang Wei' s poetry and his thoughtof Buddhism and the Chinese religion,which was greatly influenced by the combi- nation of Buddhism and Tao which was written after Wang Wei was forty. The influence from Buddhism and the Chinese religion forms his poetry in many aspects such as the whole style,the artistic image and the artistic conception.
