All the causes for the air leakage from the rotary air preheater are analysed ,and non-vertical rotor,non-flat quadrant pa nel and non-rational design of sealing gap are c onsidered primary causes, and the sealing g ap newly-established through theoretical calcula tion significantly reduced the air leakage thereby improving the boiler efficiency.
