Teaching by Personal Example as Well as Verbal Instruction And Its Significance in Political Work——In Memory of General Luo Ronghuan on the Centenary of His Birth

罗荣桓元帅是我军政治工作者的楷模。他在政治工作实践中 ,坚持以身作则 ,依靠模范作用带领群众前进 ;坚持讲民主 ,依靠耐心教育提高群众觉悟 ;坚持搞“五湖四海” ,依靠团结绝大多数人闹革命 ;对党忠诚 ,宽容大度又坚持原则。继承和发扬罗帅创造的优良的政治工作传统 ,对做好新时期军队政治工作具有重要的现实意义。

General Luo Ronghuan has been regarded as a model in PLA's political work. He considered it essential that leaders set examples for others to follow, that democracy and patience be firmly kept in political teaching and that we depend on the overwhelming majority to carry on our revolutionary cause. He also stressed the loyalty to CPC, adhering to principles while being lenient and patient. It is of great significance for us to carry out and carry forward Luo's fine tradition in PLA's political work in the new era.
