The article introduces the two most important ways to parse XML: DOM and SAX, and meanwhile, discusses the advantages of SAX and its application to parsers in detail. In the end, the authors give two SAX parser examples in XML applications, which illustrate how to create a duplicate XML document through parsing procedure and to create an XML template document according to DTD. Both examples are coded in Java.
