Investigation of the needs and behaviors among dependents of the ICU patients

目的了解ICU患者家属的需求与行为。方法采用自行设计问卷,调查ICU患者家属对患者所患疾病的相关知识、医院医疗技术水平、医院环境及条件、护士职业行为、探视方面的需求,以及对护士的专科技术、服务态度、基础护理重要性的认识。结果80%的患者家属非常需要了解患者的治疗计划,90%的患者家属非常需要护士具有较高的专业技术,75%的患者家属非常需要保证患者个人卫生良好,65%的家属需求病室清洁整齐。结论护士应为ICU患者家属提供相关知识,加强专科技术训练,做好基础护理,并为患者提供心理支持,合理安排探视时间,为患者创造良好的治疗和休息环境。

Objective To investigate the needs and behaviors among dependents of the ICU patients.Methods Using self-designed questionnaire to collect data about eight aspects that dependents of the ICU patients concerned most,including of knowledge of disease,medical technical levels,safe and effective therapeutic environments,nurse professional behaviors,visiting requirements,fundamental and specialized skills of nursing and the service attitude of the ICU nursing team.Results 80% dependents of the ICU patients urgent to know the plan of treatments,90% dependents expect the high professional technology level of nursing,75% dependents believe that perfect personal hygiene is very important to patients,and 65% of them want a neat ward.Conclusion The nurses should provide counseling as well as psychosocial support for dependents of the ICU patients to create a safe and effective care environment.
